Não Tem Como have qualified for the Americas Minor after defeating FURIA 2-0 (16-9 on Nuke and 16-8 on Dust2) in the grand final of the first South American open qualifier.
Earlier in the day, Não Tem Como had blanked Amaterasu 16-0 before sweeping 20matar in the semi-final to book their spot in the grand final. On the other side of the bracket, FURIA had roared their way to the final by stomping W7M on Cache, and sweeping Isurus across Inferno and Overpass.
The grand final kicked off on Nuke, where a double kill from Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato secured the CT pistol for FURIA; however, Bruno "BIT" Fukuda Lima and co. came right back on the T-side with six straight rounds. With their backs against the wall, FURIA’s defense was only able to claim two more rounds before Não Tem Como went on to claim a 12-3 half-time lead.
In the second half, Andrei "arT" Piovezan and his men took the reins on the T-side to claim the second pistol and the following anti-ecos to make it 6-12. Não Tem Como got their 13th on the board, thanks to a triple kill from João "felps" Vasconcellos, but FURIA came back with three more to reduce the deficit to four. With money in the bank, Não Tem Como finally put an end to FURIA’s streak with three of their own to lock down the map.
The series then landed on Dust2, where BIT and Lincoln "fnx" Lau secured the T-pistol, which led to Não Tem Como taking a 3-0 advantage. FURIA came out on top of their first gun round but were quickly silenced by an aggressive Não Tem Como, who would go on to win seven rounds in a row. FURIA were then able to scrap two together, but Não Tem Como remained in the driving seat to secure a 12-3 lead.
Não Tem Como wasted no time in the second half, with the second pistol and the following anti-eco going their way to make it a 14-3 lead. FURIA put their foot down and strung together four rounds, but a defuse by Vito "kNgV-" Giuseppe in a 1v1 situation put Não Tem Como on match point. FURIA still managed to secure one more round, but Não Tem Como’s defense held the line to punch their ticket to the Americas Minor.
