compLexity have made their way to the last match of ESEA Invite Season 14 Global Finals after defeating Curse 2-0 (16-2 on de_dust2_se, 16-12 on de_inferno_se) in the consolidation final. Apart from that, they also secured a spot at this year's ESWC in Paris, France as the best North American team at the event.

In a rematch from earlier today, compLexity and Curse had to fight it out in the consolidation final of ESEA S14 Global Finals, not only for a chance to play NiP in the grand final, but also for an ESWC slot.

The first map was de_dust2_se with coL starting on the CT side. Curse had just put up a great fight against NiP on the same map one hour earlier, but they got completely outplayed this time at the beginning of their T side.

coL came out firing on all cylinders and going up 7-0 in the early stages. Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham's AWP entry finally helped Curse clinch a round, but compLexity retaliated right away and only dropped one more round until the end of the half, with Spencer "hiko" Martin topping the scoreboard, closely followed by Braxton "swag" Pierce.

Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert closed the half off with an excellent and unexpected 3-kill AWP action, before a B rush pistol round sealed the deal and led to a 16-2 scoreline on the first map.

Moving on to de_inferno_se, a map that these two teams played two overtimes on earlier today when Curse came out on top, compLexity continued their dominance.

They started with a 5-0 T-side lead, which turned into 7-1 making it seem like Curse were drained of energy. However, they somehow managed to pull back and win 4 of next 5 for 8-5.

It looked like the half was going towards 8-7, but Martin won a 1-on-1 against Curse's main star at this event, Todd "anger" Williams, which set things up for a respectable 10-5 advantage in favor of coL.

The all-important pistol round did however go to Curse, so they made their way back into the match and brought the score to 10-8. A couple of 3-kill actions by Gilbert and Pierce in two consecutive rounds gave coL their lead back, 13-8 after an anti-eco.

Their round wins were still very costly, so Curse reset their money after taking the 22nd round, but almost found themselves cut down by an eco right after had it not been for Keven "AZK" Lariviere's 1-on-2.

Sean "sgares" Gares' squad still held all matters in their own hands, and despite getting reset again after winning a round, Martin clutched yet another improtant 1-on-1 to put his team on match point.

There was no coming back from this for Curse, so the last round fell to coL which put the final score at 16-12 and sent them to the grand final during their organizational debut. compLexity will meet NiP tomorrow, Sunday, August 18th at 17:30 in a clash worth $20,000. The North American squad will need to win two best-of-three series due to coming from the lower bracket, while the defending champions need just one.

Aside from securing at least $8,000 for second place, coL also came out on top as the best North American team which earned them a spot at this year's Electronic Sports World Cup set to take place from October 30th to November 3rd in Paris, France.
